California Home for the Adult Deaf is a boarding and care facilty, located in the city of Arcadia, Southern California.  The 24-bed residental facility is dedicated to deaf seniors who need a place to live and social among others.  Meals are served three times daily and medical assistance is provided.

It is a program under the auspices of California Assoication of the Deaf, which have been running over 60 years.  An advisory board oversees the program along with on-site administrator.  The primary means of communication is American Sign Language.

There are several annual fund raising events held throughout the year.  These events are Christmas Party, Thanksgiving Gathering and Spaghetti Luncheon.

CHAD is not operated on any state or federal monies and relies on donations.  CAD and CHAD are non-profit organizations under IRS Regulations 501 c 3.
